Send-Off Brunch

A beautiful and intimate post wedding send-off brunch in Virginia.

When thinking about planning a wedding, you often think about all of the details that go into that ONE actual day. The to-do list for your special day can be intimidating, but don’t let that intimidation deter you from taking your wedding celebration from one day to two. Ending your celebrations with a send-off brunch the day after could be a highlight of your wedding.

Why Have a Send-Off Brunch?

Your big day will likely go by too fast! Many say that it is over in a blink of an eye. Throughout all of this whirlwind you are trying to mingle and catch up with all of your guests. In reality it is probable that you might miss out on a few people. Having a send-off brunch ensures that you will be able to speak and hang out with the most important people you invited. It is a great way to reminisce on not only past times, but also the actual wedding! (You’d be surprised with how much can happen without you knowing about it!)

Keep It Intimate

Keep the guest list small and intimate. We suggest inviting close family, friends, and potentially out-of-towners. An intimate affair is a great way to wind down post celebration and it gives you the opportunity to spend more time with those who matter the most!

Timing

This is the ONLY rule! Do not start too early so we say to plan it to be from 11 am to 1 pm. This allows for your guests to come and go at their own leisure. It gives your everybody the ability to balance sleeping in and traveling home.

Venue Location

Keep the venue close to your wedding location so your guests don’t have to travel too far. It will make it easier for everybody to be able to attend without a lot of extra planning. For decorations be sure to reuse some of the decor and floral arrangements from your wedding.

Brunch Menu

Keep in mind that your guests just partied their heart out. You are going to want a spread of hot and cold breakfast foods. A mix of hearty and healthy foods can help the recovery process from a night of dancing and celebrating.

Relax

All of the planning is over, your to-do list is complete and you’re now a newlywed. It is time for your hosting duties to be over so unwind, relax, and have some fun!
