Imagine stepping into an all-white modern venue and be greeted with splashes of red and black decor, and incredible flowers. This was the inspiration behind this shoot, which was recently featured on MunaLuchi Blog! One of the most classic palettes is red and black. With this in mind, I was inspired to create a modern version, complete with incredible flowers and a stylish bride. As soon as I saw The Common House, I knew that I wanted a shoot with lots of contrast and bold color.

Modern Winter Wedding with Red Accents
Guests first got a glimpse at the pops of red in the modern invitations, which Papier designed. The black and white invitations featured a custom monogram and a drawing of the venue in white ink. Additionally, the invitations featured bold red flowers, which added just enough color to get guests inspired.
The winter ceremony took place inside, with a beautiful red flower display as the highlight. The Common House is an incredible venue, that has touches of contemporary decor, with modern details. This space recently opened here in Richmond, so I am so glad I got to do a shoot here! We used black metal chairs for the ceremony to tie in the black details. The ladies at Cultivate Event Co. helped make my vision come to life! Altogether, they chose the perfect red flowers, including ranunculus and roses.
For the reception, crisp white linens covered the tables, which let the red floral centerpieces pop! We completed the look with tapered candles to add some lighting. Across the room was the incredible cake by Sweet Fix. Amanda created an incredible two-tier cake that featured pops of red and white, placed on a black cake stand. It was a work of art!
Chic Bridal Gowns
The showstopper of the event was the gowns by Alexandra Grecco. The first gown our bride wore was the Germaine Gown with the Saint skirt overlay. Uniquely, this gown is two incredible looks in one! The Germaine gold is sexy and chic, with a gorgeous back cutout, sheer lace sleeves, and a crepe skirt. In addition, we added the Saint skirt overlay, a soft silk organza skirt that adds the perfect amount of drama.
Later, for the reception, the bride slipped into the Aster Jumpsuit to dance the night away! The Aster Jumpsuit is a soft silver shade, with fun bell sleeves and flared pants, for a vintage feel that is still modern. Additionally, we accessorized with lace shoes by Bella Belle Shoes, which are some of my favorite wedding shoes. Her custom earrings by Lindsay Marie Design were elegant and classic. Our groom wore a classic black tuxedo, with pops of red.
